Terms of Service
Last updated · June 13, 2026
These terms are the agreement between your church and Steeple for use of Steeple Connect Card and the trysteeple.com website. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.
1. The service
Steeple Connect Card lets your team scan handwritten connect cards, review the information that's read from them, and sync clean records into Planning Center — including matching people, preventing duplicates, and triggering the workflows you choose. Planning Center remains your system of record.
2. Accounts and authority
You must provide accurate account information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity under your account. By connecting Planning Center, you confirm you're authorized to do so on behalf of your church and to have Steeple read and write the data needed to provide the service.
3. Planning Center integration
Steeple works alongside Planning Center; it does not replace it. You authorize Steeple to access your Planning Center account to provide the service, and you remain responsible for your Planning Center account and its settings.
Steeple is an independent product and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Planning Center Online. “Planning Center” is a trademark of its respective owner.
4. Reviewing what's read (accuracy)
Steeple reads handwriting using automated recognition. It's accurate far more often than people expect, but it is not perfect and will occasionally misread a card. That's why the service shows you the original card image next to the extracted information and asks you to review and approve each record before it syncs.
You are responsible for reviewing records before approving them. Steeple is not responsible for information that you approve and that is then written into your Planning Center. The review step is there so the rare miss never reaches Planning Center without your okay.
5. Acceptable use
You agree to use Steeple only for your church's legitimate ministry and record-keeping, and only with information you're authorized to handle. You agree not to misuse the service, attempt to disrupt it, or use it to violate anyone's rights or the law.
6. The live demo
The demo at trysteeple.com/try is provided free for evaluation, without an account, and without connecting your Planning Center. The card image you upload is used only to produce your result and is handled as described in our Privacy Policy.
7. Trial, pricing, and the guarantee
Free trial
New churches get a 30-day free trial with no credit card required. You can cancel any time during the trial and you won't be charged.
Pricing
After the trial, Steeple Connect Card is $99 per month for one location, plus $49 per month for each additional location. Billing is monthly, with no annual contract. Prices may change with notice for future billing periods.
Satisfaction guarantee
Our guarantee is about whether Steeple wins you over — not about any single misread. If you're not impressed after starting a paid plan, contact us within 30 days of your first payment and we'll credit or refund your first paid month. The guarantee is a front-door offer for churches new to Steeple; it isn't a recurring credit for ongoing accounts.
8. Cancellation and your data
You can cancel any time. When you do, the records Steeple has already synced are in your Planning Center and stay there — nothing is held hostage. We remove your data from Steeple as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Ownership
Your church keeps ownership of its data. Steeple keeps ownership of the software, website, and brand. These terms don't grant you rights to our software or marks except to use the service as intended.
10. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is.” While we work hard to make it reliable and accurate, we can't guarantee it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every card will be read perfectly — which is exactly why the review step exists. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim implied warranties not expressly stated here.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Steeple won't be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the 12 months before the claim.
12. Changes
We may update the service and these terms over time. When we make material changes to these terms, we'll update the date above and let you know where appropriate. Continuing to use the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
